Participants Required – Eating Disorders and Emotion
Who can participate?
Females who are aged 18 years and over, and who have a current eating disorder or disordered eating.
What happens during the study?
You will be asked to complete some questionnaires about how you are feeling, and your eating behaviours. You will then be asked to complete a sentence completion task related to how you interpret various social situations.
How long will it take?
Between 45 minutes to one hour on the first instance and then about 20 – 30 minutes for an assessment conducted one week later.
Where does it take place?
The study can be completed on-line.
Will I be reimbursed for my time?
If you are eligible, you will receive a $20 iTunes voucher after completion of the two assessments.

This research project has been approved by Southern Adelaide Clinical Human Research Ethics Committee project number 33.15
The 13th annual conference of the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders brings clinicians and researchers together to update each other on the latest local and international developments in the field. It will be held at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, Queensland Australia on 21-22 August 2015, with 5 pre-conference workshops on 20 August.
The Keynote speakers will be Professor Ivan Eisler from the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London and Professor Stephen Touyz from the University of Sydney.
In addition there will be a range of in-confererence workshops, poster and oral presentations, research updates, plenaries on “Weighing” and “Recovery”, a post conference workshop on multi-family therapy, a poolside cocktail party and more!
