Anxiety and Panic Attacks
We all experience anxiety! It’s a natural response to a stressful situation. It motivates us to prepare for and deal with life’s challenges.
But what if your level of anxiety doesn’t match the situation? What if it’s greater than normal, it shows up for no reason, or won’t go away? When your level of anxiety impacts and interferes with your life, it has become disordered… an anxiety disorder. For some people, anxiety can be so severe that they even experience panic attacks or panic disorder.
Anxiety disorders can affect anyone of any age, gender or background and can make it hard to do many of the things that others seem to take for granted.
But there’s good news. It IS possible to recover from an anxiety disorder. With the right treatment and support, you can go on to lead a full and rewarding life, and here’s where PACE can help….
We can update you on all the latest information about Anxiety as well as the treatment options and supports available. We can also refer you to a treatment provider or support service in your area.
The next step is easy. Just call one of our friendly PACE team members on 1800 809 304 or send us an email at email@example.com.
The PACE team runs Panic and Anxiety Recovery Support Groups across Adelaide.
If you have anxiety, you can sometimes feel isolated and alone. Your family and friends may not understand what you’re going through or don’t seem to take it seriously.
Our Recovery Groups offer a safe, relaxed space to talk about your anxiety with people who really do understand, because they’ve been through similar experiences. The groups are also a great chance to learn strategies to help you recover. Each Group is co-facilitated by a Peer Support Worker who has been through anxiety, so there will always be someone there who ‘gets you’.
Check out our Recovery Groups page for all the details on a group closest to you.
We can chat to you over the phone or face-to-face at one of our Centacare offices. You can access up to 6 free one-on-one sessions, and we can tailor the number of sessions to suit your individual needs.
One of our friendly PACE team can tell you more about one-to-one support on 1800 809 304, or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
